Launch the Torch at Florida State University is taking the Noles to new heights by launching a weather balloon in to space. This weather balloon will capture 360 degree footage of its journey into the stratosphere. With the FSU Vires, Artes, Mores torches attached to the payload, the Seminole Spirit will go global. 

 

FSU undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds are the brains behind this operation. Led by Dr. Paul Marty, these students are divided into five teams: mechanics, tracking, printing, social, and video. This diverse group is joining forces, to unify their strengths to successfully launch and retrieve this weather balloon.
